Art Gallery NS Inc.

After 45 years of activity as Nanpou Seikan Butsuga Studio,

we have formally established Art Gallery NS Inc. as a corporate entity,

creating a new platform dedicated to preserving and advancing the tradition of Japanese sacred art for the future.

Buddhist and Shinto sacred art—an essential part of Japan’s cultural heritage—possesses profound history and spiritual depth.

Yet within the contemporary international art market, these traditions have not always been fully represented.

Our mission is to reinterpret and present this cultural legacy as contemporary art,

and to share its significance with audiences both in Japan and around the world.

At Art Gallery NS, our activities include the creation, exhibition, and presentation of sacred art,

as well as the development and production of the next generation of professional artists.

By cultivating an environment where artists can dedicate themselves fully to their creative work,

and by supporting the journey from creation to public presentation,

we aim to contribute to the growth of cultural and artistic expression.

We believe that art is not merely a form of expression.

It enriches the human spirit and carries culture forward into the future.

Through art, we seek to create a new cultural platform that connects people, society, and tradition.

Looking ahead, we envision the creation of a Sanctuary Museum dedicated to sacred art,

a space where art, culture, and prayer coexist in harmony.

Our hope is that this place will become a cultural destination where people from around the world

can encounter spiritual heritage and find moments of reflection and renewal.

At the heart of these activities lies the work of Seikan Nanpou

and the vision of the Takamagahara Project.

Through a monumental trilogy depicting the past, present, and future of the divine realm,

the project seeks to establish a new cultural foundation that carries sacred art into the future.
