​仏画（Hotokesama）

仏教の起源は紀元前5世紀頃だといわれています。最初の数百年は仏画や仏像はありませんでした。

日本で仏画が始まったのは平安時代以降であり人々により分かりやすく仏教の教えを伝えるのに仏様を具現化したのが始まりです。

南法聖観の描く仏様はみな氏の前に現れた仏様達ばかりです

仏様の世界は13仏12天将以外にも84000体いらっしゃるという

​私を描いてと言わんばかりに次々と現れる仏様達を驚くべき鮮やかな色彩で描いている

It is said that the origin of Buddhism is in the 5th century B.C. After a few hundred years, there were no Buddhist paintings or statues of Buddha.(You may think Buddha is just one person or a god. However, Buddha is a noun to get enlightenment. Hereafter, we will refer to these people as “Hotokesama”) The first Buddhist paintings were drawn in the Heian era to tell people Buddhist teaching easier. To achieve this, Hotokesama were embodied.

In the world of Hotokesama, there are 84,000 Buddha except for 13 Buddhas and 12 Heavenly Generals. He uses amazing vivid colors to draw them who would like to be drawn.
